The ESA, which represents several major gaming companies, has shared an updated list of notorious piracy threats with the U.S. Government. One of the notable newcomers is FitGirl-Repacks, which has been a dominant player in the game piracy landscape for years. Meanwhile, ESA’s report no longer mentions malware, cryptocurrencies, or Scene release groups, which were previously seen as ‘growing trends’.

    I can’t imagine being the people who pretend companies are hurt by piracy

      they are hurt!!!111!!

      emotionally because cannot control every aspect of how play their game. if cannot control life of random people using malware, just not fun to make game.

        Nintendo’s argument is that their games are art, and being unable to control how they’re presented degrades the art. My eyes rolled across the room the first time I heard that.

          Wow. So every theatre show of classics like Romeo & Juliet is a degraded experience. I’m not sure Nintendo bosses understand what “art” is.
