The benefit of Ubuntu server over debian is that it has a lot more built in packages. If you’re just trying to get a random service running then it’s much easier for a lamen to get running without a bunch of faffing with missing packages.
I don’t have much experience with servers so I can’t really give an opinion on this take.
But I guess it’s my bad, I should have specified that I was referring to desktop usage
