Got more votes and comments here than I ever got on reddit. So this place is pretty cool.

Even if a post is a couple of days old, I feel like I can still comment and be part of the conversation here. On Reddit, if you miss the first few hours, your comment will probably be unseen, so why bother?

yeah sometimes it is helpful to have lower volume of content

reddit is like trying to drink from a bot infested firehose

the fediverse is like sipping on a nice wine/coffee/tea, etc with your friends

quality over quantity as they say

quality over quantity as they say

the best thing about the fediverse actually is that there’s enough quantity of content that’s also good quality, so you’re not sacrificing any of the two

How I feel. I go to work and by lunch time I miss all the good stuff.

Also most Reddit post that made the front page would be 90% another than what the post would be about. Here conversations feel more natural.

I still remember doing one of those award speech edits after my first comment reached 1k all those years ago.

My current/last account got to 57k comment karma without me really trying or giving a shit and is barely two years old.
