Yeah the infuriating part is not the mere existence of bedrock, but the fact that they purposefully made it suck. It could have been much better than the java version if they did it right.

Agree. I just wish bedrock was a straight port from the java version instead of being borderline ruined, the only difference should have been better performance from not using java and it being rebuilt from ground up.
I have been screwed a time or two, but honestly, most of the time I’ve had a pretty good experience dealing with Chinese sellers. Of course that’s partly because I choose who I buy from carefully, as yeah there are a lot of scanners out there. I’ve also been scammed by local people and I think it’s important to not immediately judge people based on where they are from.
I’m pretty sure the reason there are so many scammers in china, is because of the amount of poor and desperate people there, and the fact that the situation has been like that for so long, is the reason it seems to have now been ingrained in their culture. There’s a huge amount of scammers in other poor countries like india as well.
Edit: typos
I’m 26 and I’ve already been called a boomer by younger people. I don’t really see the problem as to me it’s just funny and reminds me to try my best not to eventually become a boomer that hates everything that isn’t how it used to be.
If someone owns a house, they kinda have to own at the very least some land around it. I just don’t really see any other way for that to work. Would be interesting to hear how that could work otherwise.
Play call of duty, for the better or the worse.
More techy people migrating to linux would be good, but that won’t change the fact that most people don’t even know that they can change their os, let alone how to do it.
More techy people joining would mean that we would hopefully get more fixes to issues linux has, as there would be more people bringing attention to them and maybe there would also be more people willing to help fix them.
When those issues are fixed, we might get to step two. Honestly not even sure what that step would be, but maybe it could be that more it-departments switch over to linux, which would get more people familiar with it, which would hopefully make manufacturers more likely to ship computers with linux.
All that is going to take a hell of a lot of time. And honestly seems unlikely to happen in the next 10, heck even 20 years. People are already so used to Microsofts shenanigans that they would have to fuck up majorly to get enough people to switch that it would matter. People are lazy, for good and bad, and as long as Windows at least mostly works fine, they’ll just be stuck using it.
I’m totally not interested in math stuff, like at all. If I need it for what I’m trying to do, or if it greatly helps me with it, I still end up learning it anyways though :) People often say that learning in practice is the best way and I feel like that is even much more true for me personally. I’m goal oriented af, and I make all those goals myself based on what I want to do. If I really really really want to do something, there’s nothing that will stand in my way, I’ll find a way. I’m the type of person to get frustrated and say “fuck this I give up”, only to be back at it after 30 mins because giving up isn’t actually something that exists in my head haha.
So no need to worry about me telling myself that. I guess I was thinking from the perspective of just studying it because of studying it, which yeah is basically impossible for me unless it’s just something I’m really interested in and I’m stuck browsing Wikipedia at 3AM. Thanks for the encouragement though, nice stranger! I really do appreciate it.
I also constantly use Bitwarden, Aegis and Home Assistant along with a couple less often used ones. Those three felt so obvious to me that I didn’t feel like picking them as my favourite :)
I honestly don’t use that much foss on my Android phone, but DVD has to be my favourite. I like sharing memes as videos instead of links in chat apps and it lets me download videos from just about any app or site by just sharing the link to the DVD app. It uses yt-dl in the background, so any site supported by that should work.
I like doing stuff but my adhd literally won’t let me learn trig 🤣 my brain will just shut down and start daydreaming of literally anything else.
Not just one Bugatti. Probably at least 100 Bugattis.
And placing the food at the edge of the plate instead of the center.
Or just allow them always. It’s about the money, not about cheating. Also many games these days have cross play with PC anyways, where you can literally use a modified toaster as a controller if you want to lol.
I’ve been using the intermet since 2003
Then you should remember this: https://youtu.be/48rz8udZBmQ?si=81BQVmYGYRhpPCsw
No it doesn’t lol. I’ve used plenty of both and never seen those problems.
Yeah op must be talking about some cheapest of the cheapest tv’s. I’m also on my second smart tv. I tend to buy tv’s at around 1000€ price range as that has so far been the best bang for buck personally. Never had any issues like that, tv turns on instantly and updates have always happened during nights when I’ve been asleep. My current Samsung sometimes displays a small add on the home screen, which isn’t really that bad I guess, but out of principle it’s still mildly infuriating imo. I paid for my tv so I expect zero ads.
I think you’re underestimating how strong 3D prints actually can be!
They just had a quick look and are no longer interested.
Bullshit. That 30% cut pays for all the features that make steam a better store than any other store. Those features are all free for the gamers, because they are essentially paid by the devs in that cut.
If that cut wasn’t worth it, I don’t think Microsoft, ea and others would have come back to steam after trying to make their own stores (and failing).
How can it be a monopoly when I can just download another store with a click of a button? Which I have also done, and even bought games from those said other stores, but the experience was just completely miserable compared to steam, up to the point I’ve considered rebuying those games on Steam.
