They didn’t have most of Walking Dead when we looked into it last year. We would have had to sub to maybe 3 services to get a full rewatch.

It’s hard to not sound snarky here, but you could play another system that’s not seen as a commodity to be passed around Corps for profit.
I switched a couple years back, and honestly couldn’t see going back even before their licensing drama. As a GM, their books are so hard to make work, and expensive for what you get. D&D became too much of a product, and the game has suffered. 3rd party stuff has always had better value and usability compared to WotC books (few exceptions), and other systems give much better support for GM’s to actually run the game.
The coolest shit you do in D&D is the stuff you’re group comes up with at the table, and you get that with any system. Tencent also can’t buy that, so there’s nothing stopping you just playing 5th Edition, and not 6th (or One, whatever Marketing ends up calling it).
We have corporate protections in the USA.
If you don’t like base building, you’re opinion on NMS probably won’t change. I still enjoy it and fire it up a couple times a year, but the gameplay loops haven’t fundamentally changed and the survival elements are still pretty loose. I haven’t played the most recent updates from this year yet though.
Same. I finally got into reading which I’ve been regretting not doing for years. I’ve read 5 scifi novels in the last few months and just dipped my toes into the Discworld series with Mort. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of my kid’s library card lately.
Whenever i find myself doom scrolling lemmy like i would reddit, I’ve gotten in the habit of putting my phone down and reading a chapter of whatever is nearby.
Seems odd to be copying others posts to prevent it from being deleted, when I’ve seen so many users here proudly say they’ve been nuking all their posts and comments to sow confusion in web searches and prevent reddit from “using their content”.
I think the repost bots are awkward. Seeing so many posts in “hot” and “new” with zero comments makes the site feel dead. I don’t want to engage with a bot, and it makes it very difficult to find real, user generated content when most feeds are clogged with bot-copied text posts.
In my head i call it the “Rule of least want to do”. If i have 2-3 tasks that need doing (ususlly work related), i think of which thing i least want to do. That’s the thing i get done, then move down the line.
Why play ball with corpo bullshit at all? I have no interest in facebook, meta, any other mainstream, ad-filled social media shit pile. Why give them a chance to fuck up when we KNOW they will fuck up. Because we only end up at square one while Meta steals momentum in a new space?
Fuck Meta. When i start seeing promoted content I’m out.
It’s a pinned topic from what i assume is the server admin. It’s plenty visible lol. (No snark intended)
It’s weird… do you think Elliot cares what OP’s pirated copies list their name as, when the legal copies on stream have already updated the name? Would it not be better to pay for the content and support the artist that way?
This is one of the strangest virtue signals I’ve ever seen. Just watch the mediocre show and move on.
