As my accountant once told me: if it floats, flies, or fucks, lease it.

Although I suppose if that’s you I have serious questions about why you went that way instead of getting a Quest 2 when Meta was just giving them away, like everybody else did.
I can only speak for myself, but the answer is easy. Meta and Zuck can get bent. You’re required to have a FB account to run it and I’m not doing that.
Libraries, interstate highways, fire departments, Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, are all things that are socialist programs here in the US, and they all work. Now, if they did higher education and healthcare, we might get somewhere.
It’s funny you mention that about teams and O365. Microsoft just announced O/M365 licenses will be sold without Teams now, in the US. Something something antitrust lawsuit.
It is normally a security thing. Unless the company has managed mobile devices, you don’t want company data on a personal cell phone.
Pasta salad and mayo just sounds wrong to me. I generally use a red wine vinaigrette, it holds up better at a barbecue.
I feel personally attacked by this comment.
Nah. If they’re wrong, go ahead and correct them yourself.
Internet connected (smart) or non-internet connected (dumb). At least that’s what this phrase means with all other context.
When people refer to “smart” vs “dumb” cars, I don’t think they’re referring to the ECU. They’re referring to internet connected vs non-internet connected cars, in which internet connectivity is still a fairly recent development.
I daily drive a vehicle with a factory tape deck and CD changer, where all the electronics work flawlessly, from the sunroof to the back window rolling down. My wife wants me to ditch it, but they’re going to have to pry the keys out of my cold, dead hands.
They also have a reputation for not breaking.
I suppose if you go back to the ‘80s models or earlier this might be true. Otherwise, my first exhibit to the contrary would be plastic water pumps and plastic timing chain guides.
Clean water, air, and food. There’s plastic in everything. I don’t think any of us will ever get to experience any of this ever again.
This is precisely what I came in here to say.
Yeah great, so I’d have another person around that I don’t really like.
They’re all just jumping off cliffs because their friends are doing it, too.
Ah yes. Lemmings
Careful now, IBM is also awfully litigious.
Had to scroll down pretty far to find this. I don’t see any ads on my Apple devices, because it’s not their thing. And when people try and serve ads, I don’t see them anyways. Because I VPN through my home network with a dns blocker.
No, I don’t want to root my phone and load a new OS on it. And I certainly don’t want a phone with the Facebook app preinstalled. I feel like people having nightmares about VR ads are having a tough time.
With all that said, I wouldn’t pay close to $3500 for this thing.
Guy from 50 years in the future: “what’s tea?”
I was in endpoint management and security until last year. I got my A+ and sec+, and couldn’t find a job. I did actually find a job, but these fucks wanted to pay me less than I’m making in business ops now. So anything bad these companies have coming to them, they absolutely deserve it.
