Spray water (fine mist from a bottle) on the inside of your windows and use it to stick aluminium foil to the glass, shiny side out. I do the top ⅔ of the north-facing windows (I’m in the southern hemisphere) each summer and it reduces the indoor heat significantly.
Use a different email alias for each site. Duckduckgo with their duck.com, or Apple’s Hide My Email makes that easy; let your password manager keep track of the alias. If they start to spam me, I know not to use that site again, and I can delete the alias so that the spam goes into a black hole.
Jonah he lived in a whale
He made his home in
That fish’s abdomen
Jonah he lived in a whale
Not religious either.
Poor design and implementation. The S in IOT stands for security. So many devices connected to the internet that don’t need to be. I get that it’s cool to control devices from your phone, but why is it necessary to send data from the device to a company’s server so I can retrieve it with an app? I should be able to connect to the device directly from the app, across my local network, without having to send private data to the cloud.
Have a look at online courses. w3school, udemy, coursera have IT related courses if that’s your thing, there are other sites that have online courses too. Free ebooks at gutenberg.org that you can download or read online. Do a search for “text only news”, find a site you like, catch up on the daily news; just looks like a page of text from a distance.
Cricket bat, although golf bats are also good for home defence.
I love walking out in the rain with my woollen coat and a wide brim hat, having the rain drip off me, making that sound. Or sitting on the front verandah with a beer, watching the rain come down. Not fond of heat, although I do like going body surfing through the waves when it’s very hot.
Wow, I have almost exactly the same recurring dream. I have locker 15 but I can’t remember where the lockers are.
I thought I couldn’t remember how to throw a boomerang, but then it came back to me.
This has been my experience of agile in multiple workplaces.
My mother would mistype and just accept whatever word was substituted in the autocorrect. So I’d receive messages like “what’s times area your striving art under Stevens’s on Saturdays”. Then I’d have to ring her, on the off chance she answered (only turned the phone on when expecting a call), so there wasn’t any point texting in the first place.
Is that like “my favourite part of Star Wars is when Gandalf says Make It So” ?
Everybody but me thinks I’m wonderful.
If anything goes wrong with the deploy script, such as failing tests, no harm will be done because the script exits upon the first error encountered.
How do you clean up? Once the deploy script is fixed, how do you know what’s been done and what needs redoing?
Have you considered ansible/puppet/chef/salt — environments dedicated to deployment and cleanup, with idempotency to allow for fixing and repeating the deployment, across multiple operating systems and versions?
Also koalas, red back spiders, blue ring octopus and great white shark.
Over thirty years ago, I told a friend of a friend “Australians come from Australia, Romanians come from Romania, therefore Canadians come from Canadia”. She’s been calling it “Canadia” for thirty years.
We’ve been together for ten years now, and she’s just found out that it’s not called “Canadia”. Boy am I in trouble.
