Buy two and a half carrots. Or maybe a big potato! $15 doesn’t go far these days.
What is, for the purposes of answering this question, bait? Is bait any piece of media that begs a response? Can bait be sincere? Is bait exclusively negative or are negativity and positivity even relevant to the determination of what is or isn’t bait? Amongst the enumerable questions one can ask, which ones provide the quickest route to elucidation? I’d guess 4 and 701.
Mass exodus to surviving instances, severe issues with account creation, and a novel sense of overcoming adversity for those who remain. If .ml’s admins also cease developing, lemmy will stagnate for quite a while. Coin flip survival or death within 2 years.
I’ve nearly been bricked by a crazy and/or violent person while driving. Twice, actually. I can tell you with certainty that this will cause people to slow and potentially invite a wellness check. Bricks have so much utility.
Federation is one website simultaneously hosting and displaying content from another. Defederation is rejecting or rescinding federation. Not sure about the last.
Bringing the Marcos name back to the Phillipines, while minor by comparison, is also an issue with repercussions potentially lasting generations.
Conservatively, if several thousand forks appear, they may hire an additional person and cost themselves a couple hundred thousand. Given your point, there must be a more effective way to be an attrition-based nuisance.
I wish masks weren’t controversial. N95 kept my dust mite allergy at bay.
Is that really how you feel? *pamphlet*
My issue with other instances is largely their users and the new instance block feature merely blocks communities, not users. I’m very fine with continuing to avoid users of loli/pedo/alt right condoning instances.
He’s come a long way since his Grand Wizard days, but the cannibalism is still concerning.
You better watch your tone or I’m gonna comment something vaguely abrasive and then get confused when I find an angry reply in like 6 hours, nerd.
Troll elsewhere, please. Lemmy users will believe you’re sincere.
@stankmut@lemmy.world is correct, they’re not federated. Hexbear just has multiple irrelevant urls on the allow list. No clue why you thought lemmygrad was on their allow list, though.
They said “xinnie the pooh” you absolute hotdog.
I’m a bit confused by newpipe. Is it essentially a download manager with a nice GUI?
Because hosting an invidious instance isn’t free, and I like to keep the strain off. I can only monetarily support so many tech habits!
Just a heads up, privacy badger effectively doesn’t do anything besides take up resources and make you slightly more fingerprintable as compared to simply using ublock. All of its useful behaviors were culled a few years ago, funny enough, due to fingerprinting. Its blocklist is severely out of date.
08 reddit was vastly different than 12 reddit which was vastly different than 16 reddit which was vastly different than 20 reddit which was vastly different than 24 reddit.
For what it’s worth, they’re all terrible in their own unique ways. Aside from a brief window some time after 16 but before 20, during which bots and hate speech were both heavily moderated. Except in conservative spaces, but there’s no polishing those turds.
