Maybe if we put ads in and take away the ability to download content foe offline use?
Maybe if we put ads in and take away the ability to download content foe offline use?
Preferable to ads, which I assume is the profit incentive to ever develop the technology in the first place.
Huh, you know what, I don’t think I feel like this anymore. I used to, but now it doesn’t bother me. Thank you for making me realize I have grown.
“Extra steps for thee, not for me!”
Did Andrew Tate sell you a bunch of pills to leave the Matrix as well?
A bunch of them: Kate, Konsole, Dolphin, KCalc, Kdenlive, Okular, Gwenview, Ark, Spectacle, KDEconnect, Elisa and probably a couple more I missed.
Prime works well anywhere tho. I guess you are asking for a GUI to switch between them and/or disable it on a per software basis? For me games via Steam “just work”, they use the Nvidia GPU by default and Lutris has a little switch to enable it. It’s only getting more complicated if you want your Nvidia GPU to fully turn off when not in use.
For my part, I will simply wait until Plasma 6 arrives in the official package sources.
Same. And then I wait a day or two to see if there are any major issues. I do the same for Nvidia updates. I mean I could also just roll back if anything happens, but why bother?
Don’t IDEs just replace any tab with 4 spaces anyways? Pretty sure VSCode does
I will never not hate scrum. Screw all this corporatization of programming.
Yes. It’s illegal actually. A Microsoft team has been dispatched and is en route to your place right now to install Win 11 S on all of your devices.
Well, at least that will take your mind off global warming. Which is good since we have already hit 1.5°C of warming.
So that is why my late grandma was Christian!
Guess I’m not interested in your website after all.
You would think that, wouldn’t you?
it is already a great tool for programmers. Which means programming anything, including new AI, will only go exponentially faster.
Yes to it being a tool. But right now all it can really do is bog standard stuff. Also have you read about that the use of Github Copilot seems to reduce the quality of code? This means we cannot yet rely on this type of technology. Again, it’s a limited tool and that is it. At least for now.
The term AI is a lot more broad than you think.
That is precisely what I dislike. It’s kinda like calling those crappy scooter thingies “hoverboards”. It’s just a marketing term. I simply oppose the use of “AI” for the weak kinds of AI we have right now and I’d prefer “AI” to only refer to strong AI. Though that is of course not within my power to force upon people and most people seem to not care one bit, so eh 🤷🏼♂️
No. Mint is fine for my dad who uses a browser and an email program and nothing else. I’m not gonna recommend it to people who do a lot more with their machines. I can tell them I use Linux and they can ask me anything if they are ever curious about making the switch, but that is it. If they don’t make the conscious decision to use Linux, then they won’t stick with it anyways.
I feel like if you know how to look up the answer and can follow a guide to apply 5 steps, you are probably more capable than 80% of the people on this planet.
