Nice! I started using helix before vim and often I find the helix bindings more logical (like shift for the reverse action e.g. u for undo and U for redo). However often the vim bindings feel quicker (c-i-w vs m-i-w-c). Will definitely give it a go!

And the problem is about executing programs in windows. This is not about memory-safety.
A bunch of other languages are affected as well as noted by @colonial@lemmy.world.
Glass cleaner also works very well for removing most of the glue. Let it soak for a little and then use a scraper to remove the glue

Oh no, that’s the trouble with upgrading. The weakest part limits your printer, when you upgrade that, you’ll need to upgrade the next weakest one and so forth…
The creator of the Orbiter published some tests on his page and from what I understand is that once you reach a certain nozzle pressure, either the extruder skips or the the filament grinds. The tests were made with a Dragonfly HF, so I guess if I want to reach the extremes where is a difference between the extruders, I need an entirely different printer :P
That comparison would be interesting. From what I’ve gathered all of these use larger gears than the typical 8mm:

Agreed, a single screw is generally not ideal. My previous mount (which I cut off the second screw because it was interfering with my fan duct) had this issue. I also needed to recalibrate Z offset very often.
This mount goes around the mounting plate and restricts movement towards the nozzle. The holes for the screw are just big enough for the screw to also grab there, resulting in a rock solid mount - since using the mount, I had none of the Z offset inconsistencies anymore.
Thanks! That’s pretty interesting. If my stock extruder breaks (the plastic one from the Ender3) I’m going to replace it with one of those. So for I really like the Orbiter.
Sounds great! Where did you get yours? I could not find it on my usual sources (3DJake, Amazon). Is it comparable to the BondTech LGX Lite?
As a dev I’ve been on both sides to be honest. Especially when there is pressure to finish the next task. I think it needs good planning to create enough time for these things.
In the end bad devs will still shut you up about things they are not interested in fixing…
