That isn’t at all why the two systems were being criticized, and trying to frame it like that is extremely disingenuous.

Who has access to the back end data, and the ability within it to change any data they want?
Because a group of people with this power exists, whether or not you believe they will act upon it.
Iirc you can technically release as DRM free on Steam. There are some out there you can literally drag and drop to a different PC and it’ll work just fine. Just in case you wanted to go that route since you hate DRM.
1Password is an option. It’s all stored in one place, sure. But you need the encryption key and password to access it. No one but you has that key, and if you lose/forget it you lose your passwords forever. Not even the company can recover your passwords from that.
Ngl, this screams “think of the children.”
That’s something I suppose.
In short, don’t expect to see an iOS version of the Epic Games Store or an iOS return for Fortnite anytime soon (although the latter continues to be available on the platform via Xbox Cloud Gaming)
Missing the fact that Apple is cutting off PWAs in the EU, which Xbox Cloud Gaming relies on due to Apples ridiculous rules.
Didn’t this happen years ago with a mount in WoW?
“Test it in production.”

Wait, do Steam games have physical releases? Like, not just a physical box but physical media you install the game from?
Just in response to your edit, Fortnite was interesting on release but was likely never going to see vast popularity. The release of BR was really the only reason sales picked up, and at that point it makes sense to focus on the mode that’s vastly more popular.
I get that it sucks, but if it wasn’t for the pivot to BR full time, STW would likely still be where it is now, only in a dying game.
No thank you.

Firstly, they said $10/month which would mean an hourly rate of ~$0.60 using that logic.
Secondly, even if they said per paycheck and get paid weekly, they would have to be making less than $2.50 an hour for that to make sense.
I highly doubt you’d fine a place that allows for wages that low, which also has a system in place to protect unions and workers.
In an ideal world, sure.
Doesn’t matter, there’s a snowballs chance in hell Valve will sell.
