It would be funny if there weren’t people suffering and dying because of it
Oof I feel concerned about those people.
I guess it’s similar to “an” caps.
I don’t think anyone points at Nazi Germany as an example of a leftist system. They were literally fascist lol
I think about this every time some centrist claims that no leftist system has ever worked.
Bruh that’s lemmygrad. They don’t represent the left anymore than Jeffrey Dahmer represents gay people.
That’s the meme? But that’s just gender stereotypes
Makes perfect sense now. I think my brain had a moment
Aha, thanks
How does it cost $5/month?
Where I live, you get very little over air TV. In fact, I’m not sure there’s anything now.
We don’t pay for TV, but I have a little yo-ho-ho station, check out DVDs from the library, stream, or occasionally watch one of those free Pluto channels if I just want background noise
That Family Guy scene where Stewie says “mom, mom, mommy, mommy” over and over again and then runs out of the room
I think I have that same CPU cooler
Starting to see why some instances have defederated from lemmy.world
They really need to vet their applications better.
When was thar? Because if memory serves, they started sharing and selling our data shortly after 9/11.
They’ve been evil for a very long time.
What happens if you switch the user agent header? Most of these sites that don’t work with Firefox actually do work but are deliberately designing them not to function with Firefox.
For example, I got Bing AI to work by switching it to mimic Edge.
Good point, there are few people as unlikable than redditors, who are so fragile that they need to disparage other people with words like “stupid,” or tell other people they’re “too sensitive.”
On that note, in my experience, 100% of those who call others too sensitive are colosally bad, unempathetic humans.
Even if you’re right, I’m not going to throw my hands up and do nothing.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve bookmarked it to read later when I can focus.
It’s so hard to correct misconceptions once they’ve taken hold in the public consciousness, especially something that’s been used as an excuse to uphold an inherently inequitable system. Often, people will change their view once they’ve had time to process. As someone who is rather stubborn and learned about the tragedy of the commons in college, I have some firsthand experience with this lol
