Hell yeah. Saw Bodom live like 5 times before Alexi died.
Hell yeah. Saw Bodom live like 5 times before Alexi died.
Oh damn, 28 weeks is far better movie IMO though. Scarier, and the concept of rebuilding after zombie outbreak and having another outbreak despite safety measures is much more interesting than traditional zombie story.
Not the movie itself, but once I downloaded 28 days later, and found Finnish subtitle for it cause at the time I still needed those. In the subtitles word “fuck” was translated to “hole bread” in Finnish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruisreikäleipä Also at the end it said “Subtitles by your Dad”
Other time I downloaded Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk before release and got Bullet For My Valentine’s Scream Aim Fire instead with file names renamed as Bodom’s track names. IDK why but now I like both bands.
Honesty as an aspiring indie dev myself, I wouldn’t mind you pirate my game BUT I just buy cheap indie games on sale without not being sure if I’m going to play them any time soon. Best case scenario I found new favorite game, worst case scenario, I just payed 8€ (-the expenses from the store) to some developer chasing their dream.
My wallet can take it and I like to support indie scene.
I hate it but I’m constantly burned out from my my work so getting delivery is pay to win solution to “I’m hungry”. Funny thing is I’m actually good cook but just lazy. If I were to make something it would be better than usual takeout. I try to avoid it but still find myself doing it more often than I would like. Not daily tho.
I wouldn’t fuck with anything related to flying tbh, since that shit is pretty closely monitored for anything sus.
I don’t like sitcoms in general but the fact someone made this is funnier to me than any sitcom I have ever seen and I have my own laughing track going on in here right now.
I respect that, even though I really don’t enjoy their games so I probably won’t 😆
I buy most of my content, steam mostly for games, have spotify, buy music from bandcamp for DJ sets, at least my favorites, have family netflix, HBO, disney +, although I don’t use those as much since they are mostly full of crap. Sometimes I even buy/rent a movie if it is not available in those and I can’t find any torrent, or just out of convenience. I produce music and buy all my audio software (ableton and fuckton of plugins) because I don’t want to deal with the hassle of using pirated versions. I buy ebooks every now and then too, although with that I also admittely pirate some, especially when the author is dead, in which case I really don’t feel any guilt for pirating it. I also use patreon often and support creators that way.
I still think piracy needs to be an option, so streaming services can’t have their way and we are just forced to use their enshittified platforms. I avoid it, because I understand not everything can be open source, and nothing get’s done without revenue. I don’t pirate from small authors/creators.
All the while musicians get basically fucking nothing from huge streaming services profiting from their labor. Series get cancelled left and right despite good reception because they were not profitable enough, although still profitable, because netflix is only interested making next big hit. Games are filled with microtransactions and kernel level tracking (anti cheat), forced online features in single player game and sometimes games one bought are just made unavailable, like with old mobile games (case in point, dead space mobile). Professional software is often moved to predatory subscription models and paywalled updates to the software, like Avid, Waves.
And people still cirlejerk about piracy being the worst thing to intellectual property ever. Problem isn’t piracy, problem is small creators are payed so little from listens/views/whatever that the can barely get by, and have to make alternate source of income via patreon or some other stuff. Piracy won’t even make a dent in that.
Luckily in every category some people/companies are pushing back but all of this is just case in point why we need piracy. When I get around releasing music/games, I don’t mind piracy at all, might even put my own tunes on pirate sites out of spite. Current intellectual property laws are fucking joke and only benefit the largest creators in their respective fields.
Fair point. I guess so much of it is spam so I never been exposed to actually worth it newsletter.
Don’t wanna start any argument about this but I don’t think I ever wanted to read a single email newsletter, whatever it is I want to read, I read it somewhere else.
If I didn’t read it twice, I would have, since too many ads disguised as memes
Not my town, but there is a junk shop in main railway station, (sells clothing, shit like t-shirts with weed prints, pipes, random little trinkets). I can only assume rent is very expensive in such a central location, and I really can’t think of any way how that place is profitable. I only visited once as a teen since they sold us weed pipes even though I was underage. -There is a actual tobacco shop nearby, with much better selection. -There is never any customers -None of the products sold are very valuable, so they would have to sell lot of them to make profit -If you really wanted to buy cringe t-shirt, there is many shops for that around as well, all of which are well known compared to this one
Many business have gone under during the years in that location, replaced with others, but somehow this one place has been there over 10 years.
Started college at 2020 January. Information technology. I did well during the time I was there but whole covid thing just made me hate my school and like I needed change.
We were going back and forth remote and in person classes, both of which were really bad in terms of quality of the teaching and I felt like if I am mostly learning from external sources and teaching sucks.
I refused to attend in person classes due to covid risks despite it being kind of mandated so I managed to negotiate that I just study on my own and take the exams. And my grades didn’t even get worse.
I’m not the type of person to keep doing something I feel like is useless for a paper that might give me slight advantage for getting a job. Education itself is free in my country but I just hated getting more and more student debt to cover other my living costs.
I decided "fuck this I’m just gonna get a IT job and teach myself and that’s what I did. I wouldn’t say that I’m at my dream job now but I feel confident I am able to progress on this career just fine despite dropping out.
