I guess it depends on numbers too. We had 200 to work on. If you’re talking hundreds more than looking at automation would be a better solution. In our scenario it was just easier to throw engineers at it. I honestly thought at first this was my weekend gone but we got through them easily in the end.
Ha! Yes. Same issue. Clicking Reset in vSphere and then quickly switching tabs to hold down F8 has been a ball ache to say the least!
Sadly not. Windows doesn’t boot. You can boot it into safe mode with networking, at which point maybe with anaible we could login to delete the file but since it’s still manual work to get windows into safe mode there’s not much point
I’ve just spent the past 6 hours booting into safe mode and deleting crowd strike files on servers.
I’m not American
What controller is that?
I’ve always been like this. Sadly my wife finds controversy at every turn and I get dragged in.
Wireguard works out of the box for me. I use a docker image.
I said I wish I hadn’t purchased the PS5 due to the poor library of games in comparison to the PS4 era on Reddit. Proceeded to get downvotes.
Where I am from, saying thank you doesn’t warrant a response. It’s certainly something I heard when I took a trip to New York though.
My kids plays Roblox, it doesn’t run as well as it does bare metal
I ran Linux in VirtualBox for years but it’s just not the same as running from bare metal. The step to bare metal is the key to actually starting to make the move to Linux for me
Get a second drive and install Linux on it. You can then flick between the two on boot. I’ve done this and now booting into Arch more than Windows. I’ll still boot into Windows for reasons but Arch is my main OS now.
I’ve ran Plex and other apps directly on Raspberry Pi’s for years but started playing with docker. I really prefer it and always try to go for docker images over regular app installs. When it came to upgrading my stuff from Pi3 to a Pi4, because I put all my docker stuff on an external drive I could just mount that drive on the new Pi and then run my docker-compose file to get everything up and running again. Containers are awesome!
I’m confident with Linux but by no means an expert. So if I can get it working then anyone else can. My advice though is to avoid using Portainer to create your containers. It may look easier cause it has a GUI but do ker-compose is not hard. Having that one file for all your apps makes life nice and easy
I really like it, much prefer this layout over the default one.
One question though, how do I respond/reply to the original post? I’ve had to go back to the old UI as I don’t see a Reply button or comment box. I can see a Reply link on other people’s comments, but not on to reply to the main thread.
Edit
I assume this is correct as this is just a preview? Also I bookmarked but there’s no favicon.ico
That is an important fix. I’m surprised this wasn’t found before 6 even released.
It’s similar to an issue I have on Plasma 5 where if I am playing a game with a game pad, the screen would go off due to inactivity. It’s a known old bug. I wish they would fix it.
Oh here it is. Only 11 years old…
