  • I’m talking about outspending on defense and offering settlements. It doesn’t take much to exhaust a wage slave’s capacity to keep a suit going, even pretrial.

There’s a reason most cases settle before trial. The judicial system heavily incentivizes settlement and corporations can spend more on lawyers than their employees can.

The employee’s lawyer is also gauging the cost benefit to their own time spent on the case, so the client/employee ends up getting shafted.

Of course, if there is a really egregious case, like you’re envisioning, that can go farther down the road, but it’s still an uphill battle for the plaintiff.

Edit: All this isn’t even taking into account the fatigue plaintiffs go through, waiting for their cases to even get in front of a judge can take some serious time and then a trial can be even lengthier.

  • I liked their feel for sure. I probably wouldn’t go out and buy any more from eBay or whatnot as I already have two, but they were solid and I definitely plan on updating mine.

Can’t speak to their use after the Bluetooth update as I just found out about it, but they were responsive when I used them through stadia and work just as well, if not better, when wired to a computer.

As much as I dislike Google, they did handle this stadia wind down and shuttering pretty well.

Edit: The Bluetooth works just as well! These were my favorite controllers until the PS5 controllers came out (don’t even own a PS5 but picked up a couple for my mobile gaming).

One thing I prefer about Dualsense over the stadia controller is that their buttons are really quiet. I still prefer the feel of the stadia controller, though, so for casual daytime gaming, I think these are gonna be my go to.

  • This is pretty much me as well. I may use results from a search, but, for the most part, I’m never signed in and I haven’t commented or voted on anything for quite a while.

The comments seem less helpful or on point with new content from that site anyway, so whenever I am on it, it’s usually like a problem solving thread that was posted a year or more back.

Edit: I’m only signed in on my main computer as I still have that login running, I guess.

Also, idk what people are talking about with lack of content. It’s not oversaturated to the point that new posts get lost in the churn, but the communities I subscribe to have a fair amount of posts going on.

I feel like people aren’t curating their lemmy feeds well or at all if they’re not seeing content. I will say that it takes some time to figure out which communities to subscribe to, but I think the majority of that is behind me and I’m catching up with interesting content through stuff like new community or trending community posts.
