Timezones are kind of a necessary evil though, because without them then you’d have to check regions (or zones) to see if 1PM in China is the same thing as 1PM in Australia is the same thing as 1PM in Bolivia.

People generally recommend Debian-based distributions because they tend to be more popular, have more applications designed first and foremost to work on them, and tend to have the most community support because they are more popular.
If I had to guess, the meme was probably made by someone who likely has English as a secondary language. I doubt there was any disrespect intended.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll be sure to keep it in mind :)
As someone planning on visiting there in a year or two, do you have any advice?
I think that’s kinda common in a lot of countries. If you look like you aren’t from there then they will speak in English.
As someone planning on going in a year or two, this is really good advice. Thank you.
One of them would have to be Life is Strange 1, it’s a pretty good port and honestly it’s one of my fav games of all time.
Great write-up! The biggest bugs always end up being the “simplest”/one-line things lol
Not just the police and ICE but don’t forget fuck USCIS, USBP, CBSA, etc.
I don’t know why but the image of wiping with a baseball is hilarious to me.
This is honestly one of the benefits of WFH, no need for 1 ply, I can have 2 ply or maybe even 3 ply if I’m feeling fancy.
There were some nice ones.
The symptoms were the internal display went black after an automatic firmware update (you can’t disable firmware updates, they happen automatically) and never came on again, and then external display also went black after working only once. The device would power on, you would hear the fans running, but there was no display and no startup chime.
Mine died 9 months out of warranty, last week they told me over the phone that apparently the firmware got corrupted and they have to reprogram it, and it will cost $120 USD + tax + shipping (+ import fees of course). I haven’t heard anything else yet. I sent it off for RMA back on May 7, so it’s been a little while lol
Ohh, that was her opponent in the last panel, now I get it lol thanks
I still don’t get it, but I didn’t have enough sleep lol
edit: It took me three tries to get my spelling right too
At my family cottage, we had it for over 40 years before getting portable ACs. Generally we just avoided the heat waves. Cold waterbottles in between your neck and shoulders really helps circulate the cooled blood throughout your body. We ended up getting portable ACs one year because we were spending a week there and it was over 95f every day. A few years later one of us took a paid early retirement package and we used some of that money to get central AC, best upgrade for our cottage ever.
