This is our chance everyone, let’s show Buzzfeed that Lemmy is the new place to farm content!
America has a similar setup except our hoses don’t attach to the valves, we have to hold them. And if they do attach, there’s usually a squeeze valve we have to squeeze near the tire to ‘open’ the hose and allow air in. America’s setup seems designed to keep you near the tire.
I have filled a lot of tires and I cannot think of a single time where I had appropriate equipment to inflate the tire from any position that wasn’t right in front of it.
Only things I miss in Avelon at this point are more sorting options for Home feed and a not full black dark mode. Voyager solves both of those for me so that’s where I’ve mostly been.
idk why this is correct, but it is.
Back in the day you take that .45 cents and throw it in a big old empty pickle jar with the rest of your loose change.
I’ll give this a shot in the future, ty!
lemm.ee has uploads limited to like 100kb so people can use avatars but effectively the admin wants 0 image hosting. Idk what to use outside of imgur, was hoping this thread would have alternates but I don’t see anything outside of pixelfed, which doesn’t support anonymous easy upload.
Yeah, this is it. I’ve also been slightly annoyed at the bot posts because it’s just a firehose of content without any interaction. However, for the useful info subs, I think its a small price to pay to make sure that information is propagated outside of reddit’s servers.
Thinking about things in the future, if something were to happen to lemm.ee, how could users stay up to date with you and the other admins? do you have a mastodon account to follow or maybe matrix? for things like maintenance, emergencies, etc.
This has been my experience as well. I went through a few years of taking and enjoying paper notes, but at a certain point I realized that without the ability to search my notes, I’m not getting as much value as I could otherwise. That with the addition of digital being more conveniently always with me has led me there.
That being said, there are so many options with apps and systems for digital management that the simplicity of just grabbing a piece of paper and writing still sounds enticing sometimes, haha.
