I started with mastodon in 2018 and am currently active in lemmy. I use mastodon as one would’ve Twitter, but mostly for reading posts and news.
Outside of ads or razor thin margins, data profiling. They can recoup the costs from selling more expensive and premium smartphones. A new entrant in the market catering to a niche is unlikely to do so.
Yes, I noticed it when i saw multiple bot posts in a short amount of time. Spamming posts within minutes without engagement, sounds like throwing junk. Better would be to have organic discussions.
I’m fine with the current logo. But, the 2002 logo looks rad. After that, the logo from 2004 is cool.
You can still install it from fdroid or github. And there’s an alternative called PersonalDNSFilter if you really wanted an app from the play store.

Firefox cannot autofill forms outside login credentials last i knew. That’s not a feature in it. So details like addresses and credit card info are not auto filled.
You guys are talking about the removal of manifest v2. According to a reddit post in ublockorigin. The lite version will be very limited compared to the regular version. Fortunately, Firefox still works, and it won’t be an issue for a while(on mobile and desktop)

I wouldn’t say it’s entirely bug free. There are silent crashes and sometimes your position is lost but it works fine.
Multi windows, ability to cache comments are the biggest ones at least for me. Imagine desktop class multi tasking and not having your comments/posts reload because you were low on ram,etc. Smoothness is subject and I find other clients like Jerboa more smoother overall.
I just tested it and could not reproduce the said issue.
