Because on Fedora sometimes you are required to use terminal for some stuff like installing nvidia drivers and you dont really want to send a total beginner to Fedora

I would recommend to turn off auto updates, I was also having a lot of shader cache to download daily(when rebooting) but after scheduling auto updates between 4AM - 5AM and that fixed it for me
And that’s Valve’s ultimate motive, to have as many handhelds(and PCs) to use SteamOS and distance themselves from Windows Microsoft.
