Dont know if it’s true or not, but I always assumed it was because the numbers get bigger left to right. Only 12 months, 30ish days, thousands of years.
It would all depend on the hired killer. Even the most horrible of people tend to have a ‘code’ they will follow.
Because there arent proper checks and balances.
So just like the corporate world and the us government the shitbags get in power and do whatever the hell they want with little to no repercussions.
The teamsters just went through that for years with that shitbag Hoffa jr. He just let the companies do pratically whatever they wanted.
Then you got stewards and shit who dont wanna do anything.
I didnt know any union reps/stewards until I went to managment.
Basically they only care about collecting dues and increasing their numbers.
They union doesn’t ‘demand’ anything beyond paying dues from its members so you’ve got tons of people who really think they can act however they want.
Complete lack of any sort of rules of conduct and no work ethic.
Unfortunately Unions get corrupted easy.
If you want another good example of positive ‘capitalism’ check out Sam Reich and Dropout.
His father is Robert Reich (Former Secretary of Labor).
Sam is expanding Dropout at a sustainable rate. since its founding it’s had only one or 2 price hikes bringing the cost from like 3.99 to 5.99.
And they weren’t just arbitrary hikes. We got a lot of new content as a result.
He takes care of his employees. And more importantly he cares about his employees as people.
In regards to another reply, there are multiple options of dealing with duplicates in calibre. From merging to deleting them.
It’s been a while since I had to do any library setup with calibre and Im kinda confused by what you are saying with “but it duplicates files when importing in a different drive where I don’t want ebooks”
Do you have multiple libraries in calibre?
Are you using multiple library managers?
Why not just use calibres folder structure?
And also if you don’t know about it - mobileread forums has been around a long time and has a whole section on calibre where you could probably get more specific help.
I feel like this is related to the can’t measure the coast’ thing.
Like if you zoom in enough you are always traveling in a straight line.
Right - but thats a whole other can of worms.
There is no quick fix or Simple solution.
Its not like its just one small system that is broken - we have multiple broken systems that need to be torn down and rebuilt because the rot is in the bones.
Some of them it was for sure a preexisting condidtion. But how many homeless people developed addictions and assorted health problems because of homelessness?
A HELL of a lot more.
If they had had a home that they wouldn’t lose to bullshit to begin with…
Income limit would lead to people ‘gaming’ the system. Either just misreporting what they actually make or purposefully not making enough to qualify.
Or it will go just like current systems do - you make one cent over their arbitrarily decided number and you don’t qualify even if you cant actually afford to live.
It would also screw over people who might have a ‘good’ income, but made honest mistakes and are upside down in debt or similar situations.
Income limit fosters a ‘you deserve this, you don’t’ attitude which is what we are trying to get away from.
I just see a time limit system (with exceptions for those who are sick/unable to fully care for themselves) doing a better job of providing a basic human right to anyone who needs it while avoiding a bunch of bullshit an income limit would bring to the table.
‘Simple’ solution to that would be to put a time limit on how long you can stay.
Say maybe 2 years unless you have a medical condition or something. That should be plenty of time for people experiencing hardship to get past it.
Pretty easy honestly. Pick the frames you like, enter in your prescription, choose lens options like transitions/anti glare then pay and you get em in a couple days to a couple weeks depending.
Just like anything else shop around - some of the “cheap” online places still charge a ridiculous amount.
Name brand doesn’t mean much either - for example - generic transition lens coating works just as well as the name brand stuff for most applications for a fraction of the price.
I buy my glasses cheap off the internet and wear em till they are broken. They last me years and I’ve never had any coatings come off like this.
I am now super curious if it’s something OP did, or if it’s a processing error (maybe technician put the coatings on in the wrong order) or what.
The ladies in the church ad look familiar to porn stars? I dont know about the blonde, but the other lady looks similar to Alina Lopez to me.

Evaportaive coolers are only effective in low humidity enviroments like a desert. Unless the room is hermetically sealed, the cooler wouldn’t add enough humidity into the air for you to notice.
If you use it in a high humidity environment its just not gonna work.
Love satisfactory. It is super addictive to me though, especially with mods. It just provides multiple angles to play from.
Sometimes I wanna build a factory, sometimes I wanna play homemaker, sometimes I just wanna organize shit/ make it more efficient.
I’m currently enjoying Foundry right now. It is a nice blend of a few different games.
Well ackshually… One was.
At best they are pretty much useless for employees, at worst they are as dangerous as managment.
