Search isn’t showing me anything for the obvious terms.
I’d like a climbing-specific sublemmy(?), ideally, but I appreciate that’s a bit niche! Just somewhere for chatting about general fitness would be cool. I’d start one myself, but it doesn’t seem very solar-punky.
I think a bodyfitness or minimal equipment community could be very solarpunk!
Yeah, maybe. It’s mostly pretty obvious stuff, unfortunately, not sure how much there really is to talk about! It’s all just: don’t buy new, don’t buy at all if you don’t have to, share your stuff, etc., you know?
Just off the top of my head: DIY pull up/dip bars, exercise routines in parks, how to stay motivated and advancing when you’re nearing the max of what bodyweight only will allow. Idk, I think it’s possible!
I just think it would be really cool to see a community that rejects the need to spend more to stay fit and healthy.
You might like The Green Runners, in that case!
You can check Lemmyverse for that:
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=workout
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=exercise
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=fitnessThanks! Seems like a useful tool. I wonder why those subs didn’t show up in my searches, though?
Your home instance does not know all other communities on other instances automatically, it requires someone on your instance to subscribe to it first, then it’ll show up when you do searches on your instance. I believe this is intended to reduce server load and storage requirements.
Lemmyverse.net is an aggregator that allows you to search across all instances.
Upon first searching for the exact community name (or subscribing to it, I think), the federation practically kicks off and things will appear on /all, as well as search results.
