I started learning server administration as a hobby back when I lived in NYC. I picked up Ex 'Em along the way because it just looked cool.
It’s funny how those skills have become one of the most critical things l’ve learned, as I don’t rely on any external service for my daily needs. i.e., email, calendaring, code repository, cloud storage, etc. I do it all in-house.
And as c*rporate tech houses set their services on fire to grab more money, it’s a great feeling not to be affected by any of it because I transitioned away from it long ago.
I didn’t realize at the time how I was setting myself up for the future by spending late nights learning shit I didn’t want to.
Because the future of the email is all about people taking back their space. With force.
I didn’t think it’d be any good so I only got the Taito one. I actually ended up liking it so I ordered the special edition pack and plan to use this one as my ‘on the go’ Evercade. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t adjust the screen brightness. This makes the screen blinding to me in the dark. Other than that I like it better than my EXP for ‘on the go.’ The Super Pocket is smaller, lighter and doesn’t get hot the way my EXP does. The screen is letterbox so you don’t have the ‘black bars’ with much of the Evercade library. I did find some of the blue carts weren’t as playable due to the scaling but those aren’t much better with the EXP; some are just better on the VS ‘big screen.’
I’ll probably add a screen protector instead.
Are there screen protectors for these? I haven’t seen any yet but I’d be interested. I got one of the little Aenllosi cases for carrying around.
Whoever downvoted this likes Mondays and is probably a manager
Nelly had the balls to be different and it made him one of the best to ever do it in my opinion.
Can we get like one more downvote it’s almost double digits c’mon
I have noticed that, although this subreddit has 481k readers, I am not receiving 481k upvotes on my posts. I’m not sure if this is being done intentionally or if these “friends” are forgetting to click ‘upvote’. Either way, I’ve had enough. I have compiled a spreadsheet of individuals who have “forgotten” to upvote my most recent posts. After 2 consecutive strikes, your name is automatically highlighted (shown in red) and I am immediately notified. 3 consecutive strikes and you can expect an in-person “consultation”. Think about your actions.
I used to be able to stick my wet thumb into the light bulb socket of a lamp and just hold it there

Great tool for testing throughput on your firewall or redundant/load balance setups
Sounds like a good start, I just found this and subscribed
Thunderbird except on mac I use the Mail client that ships with mac. My favorite between the two is Thunderbird. Idk if I can say it’s the ‘best’ but it’s the one I use. If I need mail in a shell I use mutt

Box, but I have slightly less than this…
Thanks, the RSS was something I knew I had to get working before I deployed it. I wanna move on to learning Raku but I do need to add one last feature to protect from bots that don’t respect robots.txt
(idk why I didn’t foresee web crawlers just ignoring it, so naive). I had an idea to use a hidden form field to do a thing, will see if it works…
It’s wild how much faster you can compose a song when you don’t have to run it by your team of ghostwriters first!
