I hope that this post doesn’t come across as impatient, or demanding – I fully understand that Lemmy is donation funded, and is created out of the benevolence of the devs. I am merely curious if any announcement has been made in regards to a specific ETA. I am certainly excited for its release, but I also completely understand that there are large restrictions on the developing resources for Lemmy.
There is no specific release date. It depends how much time we need to fix remaining bugs which are being reported.
Which is as it should be for a FOSS project.

It’s running on Lemmy.ml. I guess they’re trying to be cautious, test thoroughly and iron out issues. My experience has been positive so far, and I do seem to be seeing more content from small communities which is great.
Today!
“rc” means release candidate, meaning they think it is ready so they want to test it but they don’t know if it is ready, so nobody knows for sure but it won’t be long probably.

Rest of the federation will get the update once ml can go more than a week without crashing because of it.
Looking forward to hopefully blocking hexbear.net.
